Shoes and Clothes for Kids Volunteer COVID-19 Guidelines
Our staff, volunteers, teachers, and community partners are the core of what we do at Shoes and Clothes for Kids. Quite simply, our mission would be impossible without their commitment. That being said, their health and safety is of utmost priority to us. In accordance with the State of Ohio, we have established guidelines to ensure that we are doing everything we can to keep everyone who works closely with us safe and healthy while working to fulfill our mission. We will continue to monitor updates, rely on guidance from health experts and the State of Ohio for pertinent updates and will update these guidelines as needed.
What You Can Expect from Us:
In addition to thorough daily cleaning at our facility, we have implemented the guidelines below of what you can expect from us:
- Limited numbers of volunteers and staff permitted in the building at one time to adhere to social distancing guidelines of at least six feet between individuals
- Gloves and masks available to anyone that does not have their own
- Regular breaks to serve as hand-washing reminders
- Hand sanitizer and sanitizing wipes available to wipe down frequently touched surfaces
What We Ask of You:
We appreciate you being here and your commitment to our mission. We ask that you adhere to the guidelines below to ensure the health and safety of everyone:
- Be willing to have your temperature taken upon entering the building
- Wearing a cloth mask while working or volunteering
- Wearing gloves
- Washing hands on an hourly basis and maintaining good hand hygiene
- Be willing to wipe down your work area immediately before your volunteer time ends
- Staying home if you are sick
- Staying home if anyone in your home has COVID-19 symptoms or has received a positive diagnosis
