Get Involved with SC4K

Planned Giving

At SC4K, we envision a community where all children have the resources they need to learn, grow, and be successful. You can join us in this important work by leaving a legacy gift to secure bright futures for generations to come.

We recognize that there are many worthwhile non-profit organizations you can choose from when determining how to leave a legacy that matters. SC4K encourages you to consider what you are most passionate about now. If reducing barriers to education, building confidence in youth living in poverty, and/or helping our future educators make the most of their limited resources to engage the next generation of youth resonate with your values and interests, SC4K is a great option.

For 56 years, SC4K has been dedicated to our mission of breaking barriers to education for our community’s most vulnerable youth – but we can’t do it alone!

We’re developing new legacy giving societies that will offer SC4K a way to recognize our long-term supporters and those who have remembered SC4K in their estate. Stay tuned for more information!

“There’s a lot of work to be done here. And there’s a lot of children that need our help. I’m so thankful that we can help them.” – Morrie Sayre, Our Founder

Types of Legacy Gifts

Bequests

A bequest is a gift made through your will or trust. You can designate a specific amount, a percentage of your estate, or even the residue of your estate to Shoes and Clothes for Kids.

IRA and Retirement Plans

Consider naming Shoes and Clothes for Kids as a beneficiary of your retirement account. This can have favorable tax benefits for you now by helping  you meet requirements for annual disbursements, while supporting our current programming.

Life Insurance

Name Shoes and Clothes for Kids as a beneficiary of your life insurance policy. This is a simple way to make a significant future gift without affecting your current financial situation.
