Direct Service Program

Programs_Direct Service_1024x530 (2)

Our Direct Service Program only serves primary caregivers of school-aged children who live in Cuyahoga County and who are referred by the Greater Cleveland Food Bank's Community Resource Center or its partners. Eligible caregivers may be eligible to receive new, school-appropriate shoes, clothes, and school supplies for their school-age students through a retail-like shopping experience in our Free Store. This program, which launched in April of 2024, exists to serve the families who are shopping at the CRC and receiving other services for their households. We are unable to serve walk-ins at this time.

Who Is Eligible: If you are working with the CRC and/or one of it's community partners, and your household income is at or below 200% of the Federal poverty level, then you may be eligible to participate. Please refer to the more detailed eligibility requirements below.

Eligibility Requirements:
• Currently working with one of the partners at the Community Resource Center and have a referral from one of their staff members BEFORE coming to SC4K.
• Both the primary caregiver and student(s) must live in Cuyahoga County
• Self-declaration that your household income falls below 200% of the federal poverty line.

Proof of eligibility is required.

Connecting You to More Resources
At the Community Resource Center, eligible families can access the Greater Cleveland Food Bank’s Healthy Choice Food Market and connect with 15+ other non-profit organizations that provide services to alleviate poverty and reduce barriers to food insecurity. This one-stop resource opened in November of 2023 and is the first of its kind in the nation!
