Karma is an International Studies and Professional Writing student at Miami University with a passion for storytelling, community impact, and creativity. Originally from Alexandria, Egypt, and now a longtime Clevelander, she brings a thoughtful perspective, strong writing skills, and a love for connecting with others through meaningful work.
This summer, Karma will support SC4K as a Development & Communications Intern, helping with digital storytelling, outreach, and content creation. With previous volunteer experience at organizations like the Cleveland Animal Protective League and Kentucky Refugee Ministries, she’s excited to gain deeper insight into nonprofit administration while making a positive impact in the community

In Ananda’s role as Digital Content Coordinator, she will support the organization’s ongoing social media and marketing initiatives and other special projects as needed. Ananda is a senior marketing major at Howard University in Washington, DC, who’s all about community outreach and making things happen. With experience in retail and as a party host (yes, she can command a room full of kids like a pro!), she brings great energy, strong communication skills, and a knack for connecting with people.

Culeen brings over 20 years of fundraising experience in Northeast Ohio to lead our small but mighty development team. Culeen cultivates our major donor relationships, manages our legacy giving program and special events, and has recently introduced our new Program Partnership opportunities to supporters.

CJ is a Law & Society student at Oberlin College with a passion for service, leadership, and creativity. Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, he combines analytical thinking with strong interpersonal skills and a vibrant personality shaped by his interests in dance, music, sports, and community impact. As a Bonner Scholar, CJ believes meaningful change comes through service, collaboration, and genuine connection with others.
This summer, CJ will support SC4K through research, outreach, and organizational initiatives focused on strengthening community impact and future programming. With career aspirations in sports and entertainment law, he’s excited to continue developing his professional skills while helping create positive change for students and families across the community.

Why I Work at SC4K: The opportunity to have a tangible impact is what excites me. In most internships, you can be caught just doing random paperwork in a room all day with no end in sight. Still, the fact that I will soon be able to create initiatives that will contribute not only to the well-being of SC4K but also to that of the multitude of children and teachers excites me most.

As Program Associate, Ibtissam is responsible for providing direct service to families and conducting outreach to neighbors visiting the Community Resource Center. She will also engage with SC4K’s school partners and distribution partners. Ibtissam came to SC4K through AmeriCorps and has a background in restaurant management and customer service.

From coordinating our systems and equipment to database and project management, Deana utilizes her background in administration and organizational management to assist wherever help is needed.

Emmanuel is a Quantum Molecular Engineering student at The University of Chicago who enjoys connecting with others, exploring new experiences, and bringing positive energy to every environment he’s part of. Originally from Charlotte, North Carolina, he combines curiosity, adaptability, and a passion for helping others with interests ranging from engineering and space exploration to music, gaming, and fitness.
This summer, Emmanuel will support SC4K, helping families through community outreach, distributions, and program support. He’s excited to grow his communication and teamwork skills while contributing to SC4K’s mission of helping students feel prepared and confident for school.

Tasfia is a recent graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University, where she majored in International Business with a minor in Entrepreneurship. She has a passion for strategy, social impact, and community-centered work.
Originally from Bangladesh, she also brings a thoughtful perspective, strong communication skills, and a love for connecting with people from different cultures and backgrounds. With interests spanning global development, stakeholder engagement, and nonprofit strategy, Tasfia is excited to combine hands-on service with mission-driven problem-solving this summer.

Carolyn serves as the Grants and Content Manager on our Development Team. Carolyn has deep roots at SC4K, with six years on staff from 2004 to 2010 and eight years of service on the Associate Board. Her background in communications and marketing helps SC4K raise both funds and community awareness.
