Our Programs

Getting shoes, clothes, and school supplies to students takes place through three programs.  The Legacy Program works through our network of nonprofit distribution partners, the Teacher Resource Center helps educators and students in under-resourced schools, and the Direct Service Program helps neighbors who come to us through referrals from the Greater Cleveland Food Bank's Community Resource Center.

Breaking Barriers to School Attendance

The mission of SC4K is to break barriers to school attendance by providing new shoes, clothes, and school supplies to students in need.

According to research by the Ohio Department of Education, students who attend school regularly are nine times more likely to graduate on time than their chronically absent peers. Having adequate shoes, clothes, and school supplies also positively impacts students' social-emotional learning outcomes.

The teachers we serve witness a tangible difference in everything from classroom participation to student behavior and homework completion when students are supplied with everything they need.
