Going “Clubbing” for Kids in Need: 26th Annual Aramark/SC4K Golf Classic Recap
Monday, June 23, 2025 was a day high in temperatures, but equally high in spirits, especially at Chippewa Golf Course in Doylestown, Ohio. This day saw twenty-seven incredible golf teams compete in an 18-hole scramble-format tournament at the Annual Aramark /SC4K 26th Annual Golf Classic, presented by Dubick Fixture & Supply, an event that has raised over 1.5 million dollars since its inception to support SC4K’s mission. Starting at 9 AM, golfers approached the check-in desk with smiles on their faces, armed with sunblock, and ready to tackle the day despite the challenging weather conditions. The most common sentiment shared between the golfers was that they were happy to be doing an activity they loved, while supporting an organization that helps so many children each year.
While waiting for the event to start, the golfers enjoyed a continental breakfast provided by Aramark. Golfers also perused the eight raffle packages curated by SC4K with prizes from our incredibly generous donors. Prizes included a small fortune in bourbon, a collection of various European wines, a “Cavs Night Out” experience, golf gear, outdoor gear, and more!
The event kicked off at around 10:30 when the golfers headed out to take on the course and try to earn the lowest scores. Along the way, they had chances to place bets on some of the holes, such as Left/Right, On the Green, Inside the Circle, with the additional funds raised from these contests going directly to SC4K. They also competed for Straightest Drive, Longest Putt, Longest Drive, and Closest to the Pin.
Keeping the golfers company on the course were some of our incredible food and drink stops, such as Rocco’s Food Truck, a hot dog stand, a Chick-Fil-A sandwich station, a Tito’s Lemonade stand, and a bourbon tasting station with River Roots Barrel Company.
The golfing portion of the event ended at around 3:30, but there was still much fun to be had at Aramark’s Luau themed dinner. Here, the top three teams were acknowledged, with Simple City LLC taking first, and Anheuser-Busch and ABARTA Coca-Cola taking second and third respectively. The Longest & Straightest Drive went to Sam Dickerson, Closest to the Pin to Andy Herrara, and Longest Putt to Doug Kryzwicki.
Following this came a few remarks from SC4K Associate Board Member Adam Zann thanking the event’s generous sponsors, many of whom return year after year. SC4K Executive Director shared what the $1.5 million dollars translates to in terms of new items for children and families. A $35,000 check was presented to SC4K representing the event proceeds.
To wrap things up, Adam was joined by SC4K Associate Board Member, Jessie Jacobson, who also works for Aramark Sports & Events to facilitate the highly anticipated raffle drawing. Winners collected their prizes, which had a total collective value of $8,500.
None of this would have been possible without the incredible support from Aramark and its volunteers, the event sponsors, donors and host, and a community that wants us to succeed in our mission. Here’s to 26 years of Golf Classics, and even more in the future!
