As a non-profit organization that charges no fees to the families, teachers, and distribution partners we serve, SC4K relies heavily on the financial support of a wide variety of donors and volunteers, including individuals, foundations, corporations, and organizations.
SC4K operates efficiently with a small staff thanks to the support of volunteers. In 2024, 1,507 volunteers from 100 companies, schools, and organizations provided 14,284 hours. That's the equivalent of 7 full-time employees!
Volunteers help by:
- Counting, sorting, and packing items
- Organizing inventory and stocking the shelves of the SC4K Free Store
- Assisting parents, teachers, and partners during Shops and Distribution events
- Serving on the Board of Directors, Associate Board, and Event Committees
