Our Programs
Getting shoes, clothes, and school supplies to students happens at SC4K through three programs: the Legacy Program working through our distribution partners, the Teacher Resource Center which helps educators in under-resourced, and the Direct Service Program helping neighbors who come to us through referrals from our new home at the Community Resource Center.
Breaking Barriers to School Attendance
The mission of SC4K is to break barriers to school attendance by providing new shoes, clothes, and school supplies to students in need.
According to research by the Ohio Department of Education, students who are able to be in class are nine times more likely to graduate on time than their chronically absent peers. Having adequate shoes, clothes, and school supplies also positively impacts students' social-emotional learning outcomes.
