How SC4K Helps Schools and Teachers
About the Teacher Resource Center
Teachers, counselors, and school administrative staff are often the first to notice when a student is in need. As the local affiliate of Kids in Need Foundation since 2017, Shoes and Clothes for Kids (SC4K) has provided educators in under-resourced schools in Cuyahoga County with free school supplies and classroom resources through our Teacher Resource Center. Through this program, educators from eligible schools are invited to shop in the SC4K Free Store for core supplies and other classroom resources at least once a semester. Additional specialty shops throughout the year provide items such as books, art supplies, and STEM project materials.
During the school year, the SC4K stocks donations and purchases core items for teachers to pass on to their students for use in the classroom or at home. From environment-enhancing décor to neccesary core supplies, SC4K aims to bridge the gap for under-resourced classrooms, helping educators get the tools needed to engage students and make learning fun!
The following core items are always available at the Teacher Resource Center:
Backpacks • Colored Pencils • Copy Paper • Crayons • Erasers • Filler Paper • Glue/Glue Sticks • Highlighters • Index Cards • Markers (Washable & Dry Erase) • Pencils • Pencil Sharpeners • Pens • Pocket Folders • Rulers • Scissors • Notebooks (Spiral & Composition)
Additional items may be available including:
Arts and Crafts Supplies • JoAnn Seasonal Decor • Office Supplies
