A New Chapter of Leadership and Impact

As I sit down to write my first message as the new Board Chair of Shoes and Clothes for Kids (SC4K), I am humbled, excited, and deeply motivated by the journey ahead. Our mission, providing new shoes, clothes, and school supplies to students in need year-round, has a profound impact, touching hearts and opening doors to brighter futures. 

For many of us, a new pair of shoes, the perfect back-to-school outfit and picking out school supplies was a childhood tradition, a source of pride, confidence, and anticipation. But for thousands of children in our community, these necessities are out of reach. At SC4K, we believe every child deserves to step into the classroom ready to learn, free from the worries of not having the necessities to attend school. 

More Than Shoes—A Foundation for Confidence

Shoes, clothes, and school supplies aren’t just about comfort or appearance; they’re about dignity. It’s about a child feeling included, focused, and proud. The shoes, clothes, and school supplies aren’t just practical; they’re an invitation to run, play, and participate fully in the school experience.

My commitment as Board Chair is to continue building on the incredible legacy of SC4K. Our team, donors, volunteers, and community partners understand that our work begins with shoes, clothes, and school supplies, but it doesn’t end there. We’re investing in confidence, attendance, classroom engagement, and lifelong success.

Whether you are a longtime supporter, a new volunteer, a dedicated educator, or someone just discovering our mission, I invite you to walk alongside us. 

A Personal Note 

I’ve been involved with SC4K for over 15 years and continue to be impressed by the profound impact made by the organization within our community. I’m honored to lead this dedicated board and work with our inspiring team and generous supporters. Together, we are creating opportunities, removing barriers, and bringing smiles to children who deserve every chance to succeed. I look forward to sharing updates, stories, and successes with you throughout the year.
